Antique Kerosene Lamp

We couldn’t decide whether this lovely antique kerosene lamp should be called a banquet lamp or a composite lamp so we’ve called it both.

From the style of the stem section and the design of the font with its extended brass collar, we believe the oil lamp dates to between 1875 and the late 1880s.

The delicately etched vintage shade, elegantly patterned font and classical design of the stem and base all combine to create a very appealing oil lamp.

The burner is complete and in good working order including a new wick. A new chimney is also included.

We are unsure of the age of the shade but it certainly is not as old as the lamp.

This is a very attractive antique kerosene lamp that is sure to become one of your favourites.

Width of the base – 14cm (5.5″) square
