Hand Painted Glass Stem Lamp
There are many types of composite lamps and this is a fine example of a hand painted glass stem lamp.
The opaque blue glass stem is hand decorated with a simple spray of yellow flowers and green and brown foliage.
The fluted brass connector that joins the stem and the font ties in well with the banding around the top of the font.
The patterned, clear glass font has some air bubbles within the glass as you would expected to find in a lamp from the 1880 – 1900 period.
The glass stem lamp has been fitted with a new burner, wick and chimney.
The reproduction diamond quilted, blue glass shade adds to the appeal of this lovely kerosene lamp.
Overall, this antique glass stem lamp is in excellent condition and will be a beautiful addition to your home.
