Antique Star Band Font Oil Lamp

The combination of the Star Band font and the nicely patterned cast iron base give this antique kerosene lamp simple lines that make it very attractive and appealing.

This style of lamp was popular from the 1860s through to the 1880s with the Star Band font pattern being one of the most popular. A lamp very similar to this was shown in the Edward Miller & Co. catalogue of 1881.
