Urn Style Lamp Stand dated 1876

The urn style lamp stand on this antique oil lamp is a less commonly found stem form. Usually stems made this way are the figural type depicting a person or animal.

The font is decorated with a lovely wheel cut and engraved floral pattern and compliments the stem nicely.

The wide brass collar is stamped with patent dates of 1875 and 1876. As can be seen in the pics, there is a tiny dent in the flat part of the collar.

Diameter of the font – 16cm (6.75″)
