The stem on this antique figurine lamp shows a young girl holding her pet rabbit. She appears to be resting against a tree stump or a log fence.

The molding has a gentle, softened look and the bronzed finish adds to its appeal.

The stem is seated in a brass ring and sits atop a black painted cast iron base.

The pressed glass font has a lovely waisted design with a series of loops around the upper band and arches around the lower one. Both the upper most and underneath sections of the font have been roughened a little on a lathe to produce a frosted effect.

The patterned glass font in this antique figurine lamp is fitted with an extended brass collar. A new burner, wick and chimney complete the oil lamp.

Figural stem kerosene lamps were most popular during the period from 1865 to 1880.  We believe this lamp would be from the later part of the period so we will say circa 1880.

The overall condition of this antique oil lamp is very good to excellent.

Height to the top of the burner – 42cm (16.5″)

Height to the top of the chimney – 64cm (25.25″)

Diameter of the font – 15cm (6″)
