Figural Kerosene Lamp

You can’t help but smile when you take a close look at the stem of this figural kerosene lamp. This glimpse of 1870s humour shows a young girl dressed in her Sunday best clothing and holding a cat by the tail with one hand whilst dangling a mouse over her knee with the other. Obviously a bit of a tomboy!

The base is black painted cast iron and the patterned font is slightly sun purpled.

The oil lamp is complete with a new burner and chimney.

This humourous figural kerosene lamp is in excellent condition and will make a lovely addition to your home or collection.
