Antique Custard Glass Hand Lamp
The font of this antique custard glass hand lamp is decorated with a lovely embossed pattern. It has a central band of four raised panels around the font with a floral motif within each panel. There is also a row of beading below the panels and radiating ribs across the top of the font. The applied handle is completely plain.
This lovely little paraffin lamp is very attractive as it is but when it is exposed to ultra violet light it exhibits the unmistakable glow of uranium glass.
We believe this antique custard glass hand or finger lamp is English in origins and dates to circa 1910.
The kerosene lamp has a brass collar and is fitted with a vintage burner and chimney and a new wick.
Overall, the lamp is in excellent condition with only a small amount of wear on the base as would be expect on a lamp that has been used.

Height to the top of the chimney – 31cm (12.25″)
Diameter of the font – 11.5cm (4.5″)
Width of the lamp (including handle) – 15cm (6″)
