Custard Glass Kerosene Lamp

Product code - 0526SC
Sold on 22nd March 2014

This custard glass kerosene finger lamp is unusual in that the font is square rather than round. Each of the four sides is decorated with a simple but appealing embossed pattern and the handle is applied to one of the corners.

This lovely little paraffin lamp is very attractive as it is but when it is exposed to ultra violet light it exhibits the unmistakable glow of uranium glass.

We believe this antique custard glass finger or hand lamp is English in origins and dates to circa 1910.

The kerosene lamp has a brass collar and is fitted with a vintage burner, wick and chimney.

Overall, this lovely little custard glass finger lamp is in excellent condition with only a small amount of wear on the base as would be expect on a lamp that has been used.

It will make a wonderful addition to your home or your collection.
