Emerald Green Erin Fan Lamp
Emerald Green Erin Fan Oil Lamp
This emerald green Erin Fan oil lamp is the smaller, No. 1 sized stand lamp.
Dating to the 1890s, the sweeping Art Nouveau lines of this oil lamp make it one of the most beautiful and elegant kerosene lamps produced.
An additional decorative feature with this antique kerosene lamp is the patterned brass collar.
The lamp is complete with a new wick, a vintage burner and a new beaded top chimney.
The range of Erin Fan kerosene lamps also included a slightly larger stand lamp and three styles of finger lamps. It was also produced in clear and blue glass in various styles.
An Erin Fan flat finger lamp fig.(a) and a stand lamp fig.(c) are shown on page 274 of Catherine Thuro’s first book “Oil Lamps – The Kerosene Era in North America”.
