This antique glass lamp was advertised in the American trade journal “China, Glass and Lamps, 1893”. The ad was placed by Thos. Evans Co., Pittsburgh, PA and identifies the undecorated lamp as “Pomona”.

The font of this example has been hand painted with a frosted effect and floral motifs. The colours used for the flowers are different on each side, with one side having red flowers and the other side has blue.

As shown in the photos, there is some wear to the white paint of the “frosted” areas but the floral motifs are still complete and bright.

Condition

Overall, this antique glass lamp is in very good to excellent condition without any chips, cracks or damage.

Finally, the lamp has been fitted with a new burner, wick and chimney.

This lamp displays very well and will make a wonderful addition to your home or your collection.
