Cranberry Glass Liqueur Set circa 1914 – 1921
This is a gorgeous little cranberry glass liqueur set comprising a carafe and six glasses.
It has hand painted and gilded decorations on all pieces and was possibly made by Bohemian glass maker Josef Riedel.
It has been dated to between 1914 and 1921 due to the shallow depth of the enamel decoration and the deeper, more ruby colour of the glass. Both of these things were a result of the lack of supplies of normal minerals and pigments, especially Colloidal Gold, brought about by WWI.
