Antique Kosmos Vase Lamp
Product code - 0636K
This antique Kosmos vase lamp is European in origin, most likely German, and dates from the mid 1880s to the early 1900s.
The vase is beautifully decorated with a hand painted floral motif in autumn tones. The delicate pink shading and thin red lines around the top of the font and the foot of the vase compliment the floral decoration nicely.
The lacy decoration on the shade continues the floral theme but does nothing to detract from the rest of the lamp. On the contrary, it adds to the elegance and appeal of this antique kerosene lamp.
Overall, this hand painted antique Kosmos vase lamp is in very good to excellent condition.
The hand painted floral decoration is still vibrant and without any losses or fading. The pink shading and red lines around the top of the font also show minimal signs of wear. The base of the lamp shows more wear to both the pink shading and the red lines. The wear is not excessive and is to be expected in a lamp of this age.
Neither the vase or the font have any chips, cracks, repairs or damage of any kind.
The shade is also in perfect, undamaged condition.
Finally, the lamp is fitted with a fully operational “Kosmos Brenner” burner, wick and chimney.
We are sure this lovely antique oil lamp will be a wonderful addition to your home or your collection.
