This original, matching half shade “Gone with the Wind” parlor lamp is very attractive and appealing. The use of a combination of delicate floral transfers with hand painted highlights and pastel colours combine to create a very understated elegance.

The parlor lamp dates to the 1890s and there is no doubt that the shade and font are original to each other. The colours and decorations are identical on both the shade and the vase and both are in exceptionally good condition. There are no signs of chips, cracks, paint loss or damage of any kind.

The brass plating on the foot section of the oil lamp is still bright and does not show any signs of loss or deterioration.

The parlor lamp has a brass centre draught slip font complete with a wick, a flame spreader and a new chimney.

This antique oil lamp will be a wonderful addition to your home or perhaps you would like to add it to your collection.
