The tint in the green depression glass used to make this kerosene finger lamp is not overly strong. It is only when it is exposed to ultra violet light that you can see the wonderful glowing colour for which uranium depression glass is known.

The font design has two faceted bands with a waisted panel below each band and an applied handle. It is also a generous size, so would not have required refilling as often as earlier lamps.

This green depression glass finger lamp dates to the 1930s and it is most likely to have originated in England or perhaps the Continent.

Condition

Overall, the lamp is in excellent condition with only a small amount of wear evident on the base. This is commensurate with its age and usage. Apart from that there are no chips, cracks or damage of any kind.

Finally, the oil lamp has a brass collar and is fitted with a new burner, wick and chimney.

This green depression glass finger lamp will be a lovely addition to your home or your collection.
