Amethyst Glass Font Table Lamp
The amethyst glass font on this lamp has a subtle optic pattern within the glass. It is like a cross between a thumbprint and a honeycomb pattern. The optic pattern is just enough to make it appear as if the light is rippling through the glass.
The large cast iron base is heavily embossed and pierced and has a black painted finish.
This style of font and stand were popular between 1900 and 1940 but we can’t date it any more precisely than that.
