Embossed Nickel Juno Oil Lamp

Here we have a #2 size, embossed nickel Juno oil lamp in excellent original condition. Despite being over 100 years old, the nickel is not worn or pitted and the only dents are some tiny ones near the burner. It is most likely that these were due to the lamp having previously been fitted with a “folding arm” style shade holder.

The existing wick is in good order and the wick raiser works perfectly.The lamp is also fitted with a new chimney.

The wick raiser thumb wheel is stamped with an 1895 patent date.

The nine panel opal glass Tam O’Shanter style shade is beautifully hand painted with sprays of red and yellow flowers with blue and green leaves. We are unsure of its age but it definitely isn’t new. We think it probably dates to the first half of the 20th century but we can’t be certain so we will call it “vintage”.

Overall, this embossed nickel Juno oil lamp is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks or damage of any kind and would make a lovely addition to your home.
