Antique Lighting Information
At Oil Lamp Antiques we are often asked for additional antique lighting information.
Frequently, the inquiries we receive are for help to identify lamps and to provide historical information such as the age of a lamp or its origins.
This often leads to questions about how we identify patterns and / or makers of the various lamps and what reference books we use.
We are also often asked about cleaning and maintaining oil lamps and where to take measurements to ensure the correct size of wick or chimney is purchased.
This section is the result of these questions and is broken down into the following categories.
