Antique Green Slag Glass Lamp

This antique electric slag glass lamp is one of the smaller styles.

The shade is square and has panels of green slag glass. The colours within the panels range from almost white to a vibrant green with splashes of a reddish brown.

The decoration in the metalwork of the frame and stand has a floral theme. The filigree in the shade features a central basket of flowers on the lower edge of each panel and there are vines and leaves on the stand.

The frame and stand are painted with a gold finish which compliments the colours of the glass beautifully.

There are no makers marks on the lamp but everything about it is consistent with those made in the 1920s to 1930s.

Unlike the larger antique electric lamps, this slag glass lamp has a harp with a single light bulb rather than two or three bulbs.

This elegant table lamp has been rewired to comply with Australian Standards and has been tested and tagged accordingly.

Condition

Overall, this antique green slag glass lamp is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks or damage of any kind and will make a lovely addition to your home.
