The decoration on this antique hand painted Gone with the Wind parlor lamp is more subdued than others we’ve seen.

It has matching floral motifs of Chrysanthemums or perhaps Gerberas on the fronts of both the globe and vase with smaller matching ones on the reverse of each.

The background fades from red at the top, to white through the middle and on to lemon at the bottom.

It is fitted with a Success brand removable brass slip font which is in full working order including a wick, a flame spreader and a new chimney.

The oil lamp dates to the late 1890s or very early 1900s and is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, fading or damage of any kind.

This Gone with the Wind parlor lamp would look wonderful on a sideboard or as a centrepiece on a dining table.

It is sure to be talking point once it is on display.
