Aladdin Colonial Lamp
The Aladdin Colonial lamp was only produced in 1933. Available in three colours – clear, green and amber – this oil lamp is the Clear Beta Crystal variety, Model 104.
As you can see in the photos, the glass already has a yellow-green tinge to it in normal light. As the colour hints at, the lamp glows quite brightly when exposed to UV light indicating the presence of uranium in the glass.
The oil lamp is fitted with a nickel Model B burner. The burner is in good working order and includes a wick and a flame spreader. The burner is fitted with a gallery for a heelless chimney rather than a Lox-on gallery and a new, heelless chimney is included.
Please note: In order to burn properly, the Aladdin Colonial lamp requires a mantle. The lamp is not currently fitted with a mantle due to their fragile nature. A new mantle will be supplied if required.
The nickel plated shade ring is the underburner style.
The shade is a modern reproduction in the style of the Aladdin 501-9. Please note: This shade is NOT an Aladdin branded shade but is styled on the original 501-9 shade.
This Aladdin Colonial lamp is in very good to excellent condition and will be a stylish addition to your home.
